Intro to Drawing - Online Course
ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Hi, I'm Hanna. I’m a Louisville based artist that loves being outdoors, traveling, painting, and any combination of the three. I have been creating art for over 20 years using many different mediums like oil, acrylic, watercolor, pen & ink, and pencil. I teach classes for both large groups and small private classes and would love to share my passion for creating art with you!
ABOUT THE CLASS:
Drawing can be an incredibly relaxing practice! In a time of uncertainty and change, what better way to relax than to create something together!
In this class, we will learn basic drawing techniques that will help us to draw various houseplants following an image I will provide the class. If you are a plant lover, you know how much comfort and happiness plants and nature can bring. This is a great class for beginners, anyone who wants to learn something new or sharpen your drawing skills. By the end of class, you’ll be able to look around, take inspiration from your own home, and create simply by using a pencil and paper.
Join me for a fun-filled 90 minutes of drawing where you can relax and forget about the rest of the world for a while.
MATERIALS STUDENTS WILL USE IN CLASS:
- Paper - I recommend about 5 pages. This can be plain printer paper, sketchbook paper, or any blank paper you have around your home.
- Pencil - Any pencil will do. Just make sure it's sharpened beforehand. Mechanical pencils work too! Eraser - If your pencil doesn't have one!
- Shared Image - I will share an image of the plants we are drawing so we are all following the same visual.
STUDENTS WILL TAKE HOME: a finished, insta-worthy drawing of plants!
Minimum age requirement: None
Attendees must download Zoom prior to the class. You will receive a Zoom link via your student dashboard inbox the morning of the class date.
