Intro to Handlettering
ABOUT THE TEACHER:
Hi! I'm Jacqueline. I've been an avid crafter and creator for over 15 years but really got serious about lettering 5 years ago. I'm self taught and like to use language you'll understand while teaching you proper techniques and terms. I practiced lettering for over 2 years before teaching, but now with 3 years of teaching lettering, I've worked with a wide variety of students, you've got this!
Lettering isn't the only fun thing I create; I chose to make my career a creative one! I have earned an Associate's Degree in Information Management and Design, and a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Communication Management. What exactly does that mean I do? I'm a Graphic Designer with over 9 years of professional experience; I get to create logos, websites, marketing materials, GIFs, and more! After working in an office setting for several years, I decided to take my love of making with my love of digital creating and open up a business. Lexington Design Co., LLC was started in 2017 and it's a one-woman creative agency. My flexible schedule and love for helping people find their creative nature allow me to share my knowledge and meet awesome humans like you!
ABOUT THE CLASS:
If you have ever considered taking a handlettering course, this one is a great place to start!
I have been leading handlettering workshops for years and know that everybody starts somewhere. This live-online course will offer learners the opportunity to focus on the basic process of lettering.
By the end of class, you will be able to identify the best tools for handlettering, demonstrate the ability to illustrate a simple lowercase alphabet, apply your new foundational skills to worksheets, and understand how to continue to practice your skills on your own!
Are you ready for your new hobby? You'll be creating beautifully lettered projects in no time!
