Pilates, Yoga and Meditation
ABOUT THE TEACHER:
I am a 500hr Reformer and Mat Pilates certified teacher, 200hr RYT (Vinyasa), as well as certified Breathwork Facilitator, Barre, TRX, Pre and Post Natal Exercise certified and have taught in a variety of settings including private clients, studios, corporate office environments, and physical therapy clinics. Modifications are my specialty, so if you have ever felt intimidated or nervous to explore Pilates or Yoga this class is for you. I have a strong understanding of anatomy and believe that the mind and body are not only one mindbody, but that the body has the power to change the mind and vice versa.
ABOUT THE CLASS:
Have you ever felt intimidated in a group class setting? What about feeling competitive or comparing yourself to others? What about the question of where should I be feeling this??? If you have ever felt any of those feels, you may have stumbled upon the right class for you.
This class uses the principles found in Pilates and Yoga of breath, centering, alignment and flow and weaves in magical moments of somatics, mediation and breathwork. You will learn physical concepts that you can bring out with you into the rest of your day to day life. Anything from lifting a heavy bag out of the trunk, picking up a toddler, or sitting at your desk being a Boss! You will also discover some extra nuggets that you can use if you just feel......well, stuck. The breath is an amazing tool when used in different ways.
Whether you are learning something new, or tending to ideas that you've already incorporated in your life, this class will leave you feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, aligned and calm in both mind and body. A balanced strength from within can do amazing things in this world. All are welcome, regardless of experience level.
